“It is a great opportunity to watch the game live at the stadium, it made us feel that we are part of the world cup and also this chance will help the team spirit for the Gay Games which is the tournament for the LGBTI people to be held on July to August”, Zulu added. Chosen FEW players said that they were impressed by the performance of Netherlands, particularly in the second half where Daniel Agger of Denmark left his teammates and supporters disappointed, scoring an own goal, which paved a way for the Dutch to win 2-0, second goal by Dirk Kuyt. “It was an inspiration to see how both teams communicated amongst each other. I was also inspired by Eljero Elia a Netherlands winger; he encouraged me to become a good player. This game gave us motivation as a team to train harder and to listen to each other”, Lerato Marumolwa a Chosen FEW winger said. Chosen FEW will be representing the LGBTI community from South Africa at the Gay Games VIII in Germany, Cologne. The tournament starts from 31 July till 7 August 2010 and the team will be playing on division II seven-a-side. "We would like to thank Clive Doren from MACSTEEL Maestros who is a Maestros mentor for this enormous opportunity and selecting Chosen FEW to be part of this spectacular game”, says Phindi Malaza a programme coordinator at FEW.
